Would you like to participate in a flashmob?
Definition: a flashmob is a group of people who suddenly join together in a public place, perform an unusual and sometimes funny dance for a brief time and then disperse, often for the purposes of entertainment or advertisement.
This is an example which took place in Liverpool
St. Underground Station in London.

Happy San Patrick's Day!!

St. Patrick's Day is celebrated on March 17, his religious feast day and the anniversary of his death in the fifth century. The Irish have observed this day as a religious holiday for over a thousand years. On St. Patrick's Day, which falls during the Christian season of Lent, Irish families would traditionally attend church in the morning and celebrate in the afternoon. Lenten prohibitions against the consumption of meat were waived and people would dance, drink and feast—on the traditional meal of Irish bacon and cabbage.

Pancake Day!

In the United Kingdom and Ireland,
Shrove Tuesday is more commonly known as
Pancake Tuesday or Pancake Day.

Pancakes are associated with the day preceding Lent because they were a way to use up rich foodstuffs such as eggs, milk, and sugar, before the fasting season of the 40 days of Lent. In many cultures, this means no meat, dairy, or eggs.

These pancakes look yummy! Would you like to celebrate Pancake Day?
